This recipe for vegan roasted garlic bread is made with fresh roasted garlic and creamy vegan butter. I love using roasted garlic over regular ol’ minced garlic for my garlic bread recipe because it’s so buttery smooth and has a richer, more robust flavor.

I know you’ll love how delicious, buttery, and garlicky this garlic bread recipe is. It’s easy to roast garlic in the oven with a little bit of olive oil.

Once the garlic cloves are soft and browned, remove them from the bulb and smash with a fork until mushy. Add melted butter and a little bit of vegan parmesan for a mixture you’ll have to restrain yourself not to drink!

After that, you can spoon the mixture onto your bread. Pop that into the oven for a quick broil until the bread is crispy and crunchy on top. So good!

Roasted garlic, vegan butter, and vegan parmesan. Easy to make. Delicious.
- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 2 bulbs garlic
- 1/3 cup vegan butter
- 1/4 cup vegan parmesan cheese
-
Preheat oven to 400°F
-
Remove excess papery outer layers of garlic bulb, still leaving a thin layer of skin on the cloves. Using a sharp knife, lay the bulb on its side and cut the tips off each clove, exposing them.
-
Place the garlic bulb on a small piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle olive oil on top, spreading the oil with your fingers to touch each clove. Wrap the bulb loosely in the aluminum foil.
-
Place in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the cloves are golden brown and soft.
Remove from the oven and let cool.
Use your fingers or a fork to squeeze each clove out of the skin. Set aside.
-
Slice the loaf of Italian bread lengthwise.
-
In a small bowl, melt the vegan butter in your microwave for about 10 seconds. Add the roasted garlic cloves and smash them with a fork until mushy. Add the vegan parmesan and mix until fully incorporated.
-
Spread the mixture onto the loaf of bread.
-
Put the bread on a baking sheet and broil in your oven for 3-5 minutes, until the top is browned and crispy. Check often and be careful not to burn the bread. Slice and serve warm.
